There are so many things to do and see while visiting Roatan Island, our home. For a memorable shore excursion on Roatan, join in the activities and attractions that we offer to you. See and explore Roatan with its white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, palm trees, flowers, iguanas, parrots, and beautiful ocean vistas. There’s so much to do: canopy zipline adventure, fishing charters, horseback riding, iguana farm, butterfly garden, botanical gardens, cameo factory, mangrove canals, and swimming, scuba diving or snorkeling in the Western hemisphere’s most beautiful coral reef.

Tell us what you would like to do, and we will create a day of exploring our island at your own pace. Go where you want, when you want!!! You get a private car with your own personal Guide/Driver. Our guides/drivers are English speaking, born and raised on Roatan, to ensure you a fun-filled day of things to do and see to make your trip to Roatan memorable. Do things and visit places that you want to, all in comfort of an a/c vehicle.

All our vehicles are clean & air conditioned for your comfort. Our fleet of vehicles can accommodate up to 16 people comfortably. If travelling with a larger group, please advise, as we can seat up to 25 people comfortably at once.** When travelling with a baby and you need a car seat, please bring it with you from your cruise ship.

Roatan Highlights Private Island Tour

Our tour begins by picking you up at your Cruise Ship Port.

You will drive through Coxen Hole, the Capital of our Island, which got its name from the pirate John Coxen who lived in Roatan from 1687 to 1697. See colourful traditional island homes built on stilts. It’s a must see, home to the birth of our Island. See our people, the first school founded on Roatan Island, our churches, and local market vendors, all located in Coxen Hole. Along the way, we will tell you about Roatan's history, life and culture.

Drive along the beach at Sandy Bay village. If you haven’t done this before, your opportunity awaits you!!!

Next, it is West End Ocean Front Village surrounded by a picturesque landscape, perfect for wandering around in our various souvenir shops for arts and crafts.

Don’t want to shop, no problem!!! This location is perfect for snorkeling or swimming. Jump in, look down, you won’t believe what you will see, maybe a green eel, or a sea turtle, at Half Moon Bay.

We also can stop for a snack or lunch & drinks at one of our numerous local restaurants overlooking the ocean - Mavies & Dixies or Ronnie’s Bare Feet Bar & Restaurant - right on the beach; lots to choose from.

Throughout your tour you will have amazing photo opportunities featuring the wonderful culture and views of this lush Island Paradise called Roatan. Most important, don’t forget to bring your camera fully charged.

Our tour then continues driving through the hills. We will get to a point from which you can view both sides of the island as we head to WEST BAY BEACH, which is well known for its beautiful white sand beach and turquoise clear waters. (optional beach stop)

Feel free to relax, swim or snorkel, where you can spend the rest of your day. Or you can just sit back and relax at one of our fine restaurants before heading back to your cruise ship.

We return you back to your cruise ship port driving through the local villages of Flowers Bay, Gravel Bay and Pensacola, located along our south-western coastal shore line. You can make an optional stop at the Stone Castle Cameo Factory.

Duration of your tour:

Your tour last as long as you want it to; your driver is with you for the day, providing you with any information or suggestions that you may need, and making any stops or doing any activity that you will like to upgrade to in your tour.

We will have you back to your cruise ship at least 1 hour before departure, sooner if you wish to.

Price for Roatan Highlights Private Island Tour

 with English speaking driver/guide and a/c vehicle for the day is:
2 Guests $40 per person
3 Guests $30 per person
4 or more Guests $25 per person

Method of Payment for your Tour:
Theris Roatan Tours/Dixon Tours require a $30 deposit to make a reservation, done via PayPal to . If you agree to make your deposit, just send me an email in acceptance, after which I will send you a PayPal invoice so you can make your deposit. Please follow the PayPal instructions in the email in order to make your deposit. Once you have made your deposit, PayPal will notify me, and I will email you instructions on how to meet your private driver with air conditioned vehicle for your tour with us, Theris Roatan Tours/Dixon Tours.

Please print the meeting instructions and a copy of your PayPal deposit receipt and bring them along with you when you meet the Theris Roatan Tours/Dixon Tours representatives at your cruise ship port.

The remaining balance of your tour is payable only in US$ cash to your driver at the end of your tour when you are back at your cruise ship port no later 1 hour before your ship's departure time (sooner if you wish).

Refund and Cancellation Policy:
If your cruise ship is rescheduled to Roatan a day sooner or later, please note that your tour is not cancelled - it is automatically transferred to your new arrival date. Although we are usually aware of these changes, notification on your part of any schedule changes your ship may make regarding Roatan is always appreciated and ensures your day on Roatan will not be lost.

Your deposit is refunded in full to you if your ship does not sail, does not dock at the Roatan Island Cruise Ship Port due to inclement weather or ocean conditions, or if you have to cancel your tour/reservation for any reason. Notification of cancellation must be made via email, or phone call before your ship arrives at the Roatan Island Cruise Ship Port.

  We can easily see why Tarzan used this method for transportation!

  Come experience our ziplines. Get a bird’s eye view of the ocean and awesome scenery while you enjoy this fun filled day of gliding over the jungle canopy.

  Upon your arrival, you will be expertly fitted with your harness, helmet and gloves; and receive a full orientation regarding your equipment and safety from your expert guide.

  Our canopy line system is composed of 16 platforms and 13 separate lines, ranging from 135 feet to almost 1,000 in length.

  The fun begins from the first Zip; after that it’s down hill. Experience the fun and excitement of this awesome adventure. Zip from tree top to tree top, platform to platform, above and beneath the tall trees with views overlooking the ocean. Look out for our vivid green iguanas, and birds during this 45 minutes to one hour adventure.

  Take as much time and pictures as you like. A unique animal interaction, memorable experience. Hold and hug monkeys for as long as you like.

  For those in your group of friends or family that are not doing the Zipline/Canopy adventure, we have a nice sitting area overlooking our zipline. Bar, restaurant, and restrooms available on location.

  This tour is for anyone adventurous and in good physical condition. Don’t let your age or ability be an obstacle. Not recommended for pregnant women.

  Please wear comfortable clothing, as you will be wearing harnesses. Make sure your shoes either tie or have straps to assure they will not fall off while zip lining.

  Bring swimwear if swimming or snorkeling after the adventure.
